GENERAL DESCRIPTION
509AT repulpable double coated tape consists of a non-woven tissue carrier, saturated with a water-soluble pressure sensitive adhesive. This is an ideal product for automatic flying splices.
APPLICATION
Suitable for paper splicing at high speed with automatic roll change in paper- and printing industry. Product can be used on all kind of coaters, sheeters, "flying pasters" and "zero-speed splicers".
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
Extremely high tack resulting in excellent splicing properties, even at low temperatures. A high temperature resistance of more than 200°C/392°F, keeps the splice intact during the drying process. Tape resists humidity for a limited period of time, yet retains its repulpable characteristics. Versatile through a range of environmental conditions. Water soluble- repulpable. Rigid siliconised liner allows easy tearing of the excess paper in the splice area. Passes repulpability test by TAPPI Method UM213. Hermetically sealed in plastic bags to maintain constant moisture content.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES
For optimum results, an even rub down pressure must be applied to the taped area to create the best possible adhesion between the tape and the web surface. Remove the liner just prior to flying splicing. Avoid overlap of adhesive. Use the right combination of tape and labels for your splice pattern.
